Our festival partners
So who are our festival partners?
All over the UK there are children who have to cope with sickness, disability or disadvantage. It’s tough. Really tough.
We provide practical, tangible help that makes an immediate difference to those children and their families
A wheelchair doesn’t just provide mobility. It lets the child ‘join in’ with the other kids.
Providing a special-needs school with a Sunshine Coach gives its pupils access to a much wider range of activities and experiences.
Last year we provided 68 wheelchairs, 59 Sunshine coaches and 114 grants for specialist equipment.
For a disadvantaged child, a day at the seaside becomes a cherished childhood memory.
Each year we take tens of thousands of children on great days out through our Great Days Out Programme.
We help fund children’s hospitals and hospices, creating environments that are more welcoming and reassuring. Children cared for at home are given specialist equipment to alleviate the symptoms of chronic conditions, improve their everyday care and help reduce stress for both children and parents.
Youth clubs receive funding for equipment, enabling them to offer more facilities, attracting vulnerable young people and keeping them off the street. That’s what we mean by making a difference.
The Wessex region of Variety - the Childrens Charity are our 2017 chosen charity for QuizFest UK. We will be holding a tombola during the afternoon plus a special raffle after the quiz. All money raised will go to the charity.

Just two miles outside Lymington, on the road to Beaulieu, this attractive pub was once the dairy for the Walhampton Estate.
Converted to a Free House pub some years ago, The Walhampton Arms, which is open all day, is well known for great food and good value.
Surrounded by the beautiful New Forest and close to the Isle of Wight Ferry terminal, makes us a popular destination for visitors to this delightful part of Hampshire. As well as the carvery, there is an extensive menu, specials board and children's menu.
